My favourite Japanese pasta restaurant has opened in Singapore!! (^_^)
I will always patronise this restaurant whenever I visit Japan.
Decided to combine both my visits to the branch at Marina Bay Link Mall on 9th July 2011 and 28th Jan 2012 into this post.
Entrance to the restaurant:
Mediterranean Tomato Cream Soup Spaghetti with Fresh Seafood 地中海風海老とあさりのス―プスパゲ海テイ (トマトクリ―ムスプ) – This was part of a set meal which came with a small cup of clear soup and an empty bowl which you can use for ONE serving from the salad bar. Trying to “squeeze” as many fruit and veggies into that tiny bowl will be a test of your stacking skills.
Chocolate Cake with Cookie & Ice-Cream (クッキーとアイスクリームとチヨコレートケキ) – Yumm!
Forgot the name of this dish but it was spaghetti with pork and a miso based sauce
Half & Half Set A – Tomato Sauce with Basil & Mozzarella & Cream Sauce Spaghetti with Crab, Shrimp & Scallop トマモッツアレラチーズのバジル風味＆カニと海老と帆立のクリームソース
Matcha ice-cream with Azuki beans
Verdict: This branch stayed true to the Japanese taste and is of similar standard to that of the branches in Japan! However, I feel the quality of the ingredients is still better in Japan. This branch at Marina Bay Link Mall is definitely worth repeated visits (although I can’t say the same thing about the branch at CityLink Mall as it is less generous with the pasta sauces and doesn’t have a salad bar).
