This was my 2nd time eating this soya beancurd (too eager and forgot to take pictures the first time around…heehee). There’s a lot of hype about this soya beancurd (latest craze in Singapore) and you’ll find there is always a long line of people queuing up to buy the dessert! Most people buy in bulk too!
The soya beancurd is really smooth and fragrant but it is more like a pudding (豆乳プリン) rather than the traditional soya beancurd dessert that we grew up with. Those who like jello or pudding will like this!
There are 2 flavours to choose from – Original or Almond (the Almond is identified by the red mark on the lid of the plastic bowl). Both are good but the Almond may be an acquired taste for some. If you are down with a sore throat, I can testify that swallowing the chilled almond soya beancurd will help sooth your throat!
I prefer to patronise the original stall at the Old Airport Road Hawker Centre – there are 2 stalls located there so you can buy from either one. If one of the stalls is “in the midst of preparation”, fret not as you can head to the other stall but it would also mean that the queue will be extra long!!

Getting there by MRT:
Take the Circle Line and alight at Dakota station. It’s about a 5min walk from the station.
