Went for a walk around Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) the other day to locate the Equarius Hotel, which is one of the latest hotels to have opened at the resort.
Here’s a bird’s eye view of the hotel…
There are 2 ways to get to the Equarius Hotel:-
(1) from the road outside the Festive Hotel/RWS Convention Centre, follow the road signs leading to the Equarius Hotel
(2) go via the carpark
Still lost?? Download the Resort Map and hopefully you can figure it out! (^o^)
This is the entrance to the hotel if you enter from the carpark which is in the basement. You’ll then need to take the lift to get to the hotel lobby.
If you are in the heart of RWS and intend to go on foot via the carpark, it’s easier to navigate if you enter the carpark from the convention centre, just across and slightly towards the right from where you entered from, you should be able to see the turnoff to the parking spaces at the Equarius Hotel and ESPA.
Alternatively, if you walk across from the Festive Hotel/RWS Convention Centre, you’ll first pass the Tree Top Lofts (part of the Equarius Hotel) on your left – this is located behind the main hotel building and comprises of 2 units which are surrounded by trees and are accessible by a lift. Works are still ongoing but I must say that the concept sounds interesting. One night’s stay will set you back by S$3000++!!
As you walk on, you’ll see the main building of the Equarius Hotel on your right.
Here’s the entrance leading to the hotel lobby.
Found ESPA which is located just next to the hotel – This world renowned spa is said to be opening on 1st July 2012. Can’t wait to try it! ^_^
The hotel reception.
There aren’t many F&B options at the hotel and they can be found at the lobby level.
Equarius Lounge – thought the decor looked rather interesting but apparently some people don’t seem to like it much. I thought the screen helped to brighten the lobby area but it would have been better if there was a real waterfall! ;p
Forest 森 – This restaurant serves Chinese Fusion dishes and is opened by local celebrity chef Sam Leong.
The decor in the restaurant has a woody feel…
They have an open-concept kitchen so you can watch the chefs at work.
Where do you think this next picture is taken from?
LOL…it’s actually the ladies’ washroom. The interior of the washroom looks very cozy and someone people I know liked it so much that they didn’t want to leave!
Corridor leading to the hotel rooms.
Guests staying at Level 1 of the hotel will find that their living room overlooks the private pool.
Definitely looks like a nice place for a staycation! ^_^
