Hong Kong Disneyland: Rainy Day Express

I was hoping to catch the “Flights of Fantasy Parade” during my recent visit to Hong Kong Disneyland but unfortunately the sky wasn’t really happy that day…

The good thing about Disney is that they have contingency plans in the event of bad weather. Due to the rain, the “Flights of Fantasy Parade” was cancelled but in its place was something called “Rainy Day Express“. It wasn’t much but at least it still kept park guests happy otherwise most people would have waited there in vain and left disappointed.

Shortly after the announcement of the replacement parade was made, the locomotive arrived…

There were 4 roofed carriages ferrying the various Disney character mascots.

The first one carried Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and friends…

The next one had Disney princesses and fairies on it…

Then came Woody, Buzz, Jessie and some toy soldiers…

The most popular characters were on the last carriage. Here’s Chip, Dale and Goofy…

At the other end were Donald, Mickey, Minnie and Pluto but unfortunately not all of them turned around for me to get a good picture.

Only the characters on the last carriage donned raincoats and I thought that suited the occasion perfectly although they didn’t really need them since they were already sheltered.
