Latte art seems to be the trend at cafes these days, with some outdoing the competition with super cute designs! To-date I only know of 2 cafes in Singapore with cute latte art (i.e. cartoon/3D) and one of them is Brew Maison, but unfortunately their cartoon/3D latte arts are only available on an adhoc basis.
Thus, when I heard about their Teatime Vday Set ($16 for 2 pax, 2:30pm – 5:30pm) which was available only on Valentine’s Day, I jumped at the opportunity to go check it out! ^_^
This set comprises of a Vday Strawberry Waffle and 2 Hot Couple Lattes – we had the option to choose 1 out of the 3 Vday designs (Mickey & Minnie / Lady & The Tramp / Donald & Daisy). I’m not a fan of the duck couple and I prefer the mice over the doggies, thus we went with Mickey & Minnie.
Drinks-wise there was also a choice of coffee lattes, or non-coffee drinkers (like me) could opt for their Taro Latte or Goguma Latte (made with sweet potato). Haha…the non-coffee lattes sure sounded interesting!
Here’s another picture of the lattes:
The waffle was just average to me as I’ve tasted crispier and more fragrant versions elsewhere, but the lattes were awesome! My hubby enjoyed his coffee latte and as for me, I had the Goguma Latte, which was smooth, creamy and had a milky flavour with just a subtle hint of sweet potato. To skeptics out there – no, it doesn’t take like a soup but is really a pleasant Korean-style drink.
The cafe is quite spacious, with a simple decor.
It also has some cosy areas with nice comfortable chairs.
I liked this cute little pot of artificial flowers found at the table.
3D/Cartoon latte art is only available when their 3D/Cartoon latte artist is around and reservations are required, so keep a lookout on their Facebook page for updates on when they will be available.
