My Massage Experience at Feet Haven (plus Giveaway)

Feet Haven Reflexology is a place that you can get away from the bustle of everyday life and get rejuvenated with feet massages, shoulder/body massages or a combination of them.

I was invited to try their Combination Massage which comprised of a 45-minute foot massage and 15-minute shoulder massage and thus made my way down to their branch at Serangoon Gardens – this is located near to the Chomp Chomp Food Centre and is directly opposite myVillage. You can’t possibly miss that hugh signboard above Cedele and the path to relaxation awaits on the second floor.

Feet Haven has won numerous awards including those from Her World and Bazaar Magazine for “having a comfortable experience with awesome masseurs and a tranquil environment”, so I eagerly made my way up the flight of stairs (note: leave your footwear at the shoe racks found at the bottom of the stairs before you head up).

This place has conducive lighting and comfortable chairs, plus there are also chairs for those who want to do seated shoulder massages and separate rooms with massage beds for those who prefer to have massages lying face down.

I usually prefer full body massages to feet massages, so I was a little apprehensive before it started cos I was anticipating some “pain”. You can request for either a ‘hard’ or ‘soft’ massage treatment, but as the saying goes “no pain, no gain”, so I usually prefer a firmer touch to remove all the knots in my body.

The treatment starts with each customer soaking their feet into a tub of warm water.

After which, your feet are dried with a towel and the foot massage begins…

I looked around at the other customers and some had their eyes closed, some were busy on their iPads and some just looked blankly into space (LOL!). If you were wondering what I was doing, I decided to play games on my mobile phone whilst having my feet kneaded. Overall the foot massage was quite soothing except for the occasional time when I looked up at the masseur cos I felt pain – the therapists here use TCM techniques in their massages, so I guess there were some parts of my body which needed a bit more “balancing”.

45min whizzed by rather quickly and I headed over to one of the rooms for the shoulder massage – this was my favourite part as my upper body muscles were quite sore and stiff after sitting at my office desk all week!

My therapist’s expert hands helped to loosen the tight muscles – I had been suffering from a stiff neck all week and was really happy that it was gone by the time the massage session was over! The massage techniques used here are similar to the 20min massages that I used to enjoy at work before cost cutting measures were introduced at my workplace.

When the session was over, I was pleasantly surprised to be served with a cup of tea!

Many thanks to Dennis for the invite! I was satisfied with the overall massage experience and extremely glad that the soreness in my neck was gone! ^_^

  1. Been walking distances with the two kids and I almost sprain my foot while ushering them cross the road. A feet massage will be great.

I have been having a poor blood circulation and stuff joints so having a regular massage would definitely relieve me from these problems👍🏼.

Having collected my steps tracker from Health Promotion Board recently, I have been trying to walk 10,000 steps a day. So have been in need of a good feet massage.
