It was one of those days when you’ve had too much to eat during the day and thus wasn’t feeling that hungry at dinnertime, so I decided to have dessert instead!
Yuen Kee Dessert (源記甜品專家) is a traditional Chinese dessert shop, known for their almond cream (杏仁露), walnut cream (合桃露) and (桑寄生). All desserts can be paired with lotus seeds and/or egg.
The menu can be found sandwiched between the tables and their glass tops.
I decided to have walnut cream with lotus seeds 合桃露(加蓮子) and it was smooth and had just the right amount of sweetness (i.e. not overly sweet). My hubby on the other hand had almond cream with a raw egg 杏仁露(加蛋)!! He said it made the dessert smoother! Erm…I don’t think I will ever try that as I don’t like eating raw eggs.
Overall, we were both satisfied with what we ordered that night. ^_^
