Dance For The Magic Beans at Universal Studios Singapore

The new stage show The Dance for the Magic Beans, started today at the Far Far Away zone of Universal Studios Singapore and it features Puss in Boots and Kitty Softpaws in a dance off.

Showtimes for today were at 11:30am, 1:30pm and 4:30pm. Do check the park schedule on the day of your visit for the latest show schedules if you intend to watch it.

The curtain was opened to reveal the milk bar and this guy introduced himself as Alejandro, the milk bartender with unbelievably long middle and last names.

We were told that we were about to witness the “Dance Fight of the Century” with a prize of two magic beans. Legend says that these beans will lead to the goose that lays golden eggs!

The two dance contenders are Kitty Softpaws (new character to the park!) and Puss in Boots – this next photo shows Kitty hissing at Puss after he tells her not to annoy him.

Overall, the storyline is pretty simple and basically it’s mostly a dance competition.

After the results of the competition were announced, the 3 characters continued dancing…

Those who enjoy photographing the characters should be on standby to snap away when Kitty and Puss strike some poses during and at the end of the show.

As for those of you who can’t wait to get down to the park to watch the show, here’s a video of the opening performance of this show at the park:

Character meet and greet is available immediately after the show and you’ll need to form a queue at the left of the stage (don’t rush!). ^_^

*** UPDATE – 21st September 2014 ***

Apparently, there is also a lady milk bartender by the name of Isabella (also with extremely long middle and last names!) and I guess she covers for Alejandro on his day off. 😀

Oh there’s a female Milk Bartender too? That reminds me of Dr Rodney at the Jurassic Park area. I’ve seen the character as both male and female. The name “Dr Rodney” is used for both.

    • Oh yes, I’ve seen that female “doctor” but I didn’t photograph her as the meet and greet character is supposed to be that baby dinosaur “Diane”.

Well, the “doctor” does sign autographs though! Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming are gone though 😦 Kitty Softpaws is a grear addition but I prefer meeting Face characters!
